Lot #938: No explanation necessary, surely, for the appeal of a full Batman costume used when Michael Keaton was playing the Caped Crusader. Guys whose Halloween budgets are a tad more modest might consider Lot #883, a Cylon get-up from the original Battlestar Gallactica.
Lot #951: Back to ray guns: This version of Han Solo’s famous blaster isn’t exactly what you expect: It isn’t a fully intact, screen-used prop, but rather a collection of backup parts that are assembled to look like the real thing. Still looks like a big improvement on the plastic model you can pick up at Toys’R'Us.
Lot #955: Sci-fi fans with an artsier bent went gaga over this miniature model used to depict an interior scene in Ridley Scott’s gorgeously designed Blade Runner.
Lot #978: One of many offerings from the studio of special-effects pioneer Stan Winston, this nearly 11-foot-long Velociraptor was used in the second Jurassic Park film and has a hydraulic-powered skeleton under its mottled rubber skin.
Lot #1014: An off-the-wall special-fx prop, this disembodied head of Matthew Broderick featured in the gimmicky
Inspector Gadget.
Lot #1062: There’s surely a buyer out there for this mutilated version of the Friday the 13th franchise’s famous hockey mask, though we’d be more tempted to buy if the winning bidder got a guarantee that there will be no more Jason films.
Lot #1078: Ahoy, kiddies! This looks to be one of the finer of multiple existing versions of the key sought by Depp, Bloom & company in the Pirates films.
Lot #1081: You don’t see many of this kind of collectible out there. It’s the notebook full of Polaroids that the crew of Top Gun used to make sure that actors’ wardrobes stayed consistent from one day to the next.
