Flip-flops and a bathing suit might be your current uniform of choice, but it’s time to start stashing cash for
fall frills. Sweltering summer temperatures conjure dreams of fall, but many of our favorite designers and stores are one step ahead of us — they’re introducing pre-fall collections. Christian Louboutin’s pre-fall collection has hit Neiman Marcus. The shoes, dubbed “little pieces of sculpture” by Oprah Winfrey, are priced from $530 and up. The collection includes boots — the buckled ankle boot (left)
for $1,200 is quite mod — and a handful of pumps with passementerie detailing. Pre-order Stuart Weitzman fall kicks at Nordstrom. Among the standouts: The Tabby boot made of croc-embossed patent leather ($498) and the Hyper boot in knee-high suede ($575). Designer Tory Burch, who just won fashion’s equivalent of the Oscar for accessory design, offers up a pre-fall line heavy on blues, reds and browns. The Darla dress (right) is perfect for a September barbeque ($295). The Nina Ricci fall line and a few select pieces from Proenza Schouler are available at Bergdorf Goodman. Check out the Nina Ricci asymetrical sweater ($2,190) and the Proenza Schouler halter dress ($1,950).
