BarnesandNoble.com’s return policy is strict and precise. While they do not provide a specific holiday gift return policy, they do have a standard 30 day return policy for gifts in their original packaging or condition. You may return your items by mail or receive in-store credit if you make the trip in person.
“Our return policy around the holidays is a little lax,” said Justin Barber, a representative of BestBuy.com. CircuitCity.com encourages gift recipients to return items at the closest Circuit City in order to exchange the item or receive a gift card. Otherwise, any returned item will credit the purchaser’s credit card. This is a great way to drive traffic into the store because it’s virtually impossible to leave “the City” without at least one or two items you hadn’t planned on.
LLBbean.com offers a unique program called L.L.Bean QuickExchange. The exchanger just calls customer service and are told: “We’ll place an order for your new item right away.
