You might have seen the unprecedented gathering of more than 100 celebs broadcast on all three major TV networks last week, all an effort to Stand Up to Cancer. The hour-long event raised more than $100 million and was seen in at least 170 countries.
Virtually every big name in the music industry, including Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Fergie, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Sheryl Crow (performing together), as well as actors, comedians and prominent newscasters. Among the celebs were three cancer survivors, pictured: Sheryl Crow, Christina Applegate and Melissa Etheridge.
The question on viewers’ minds after they made their contributions was likely “Where can we get those T-shirts?” The official Stand Up to Cancer store has regular T-shirts for men and women, in black ($30) or white ($25), with the “Stand Up to Cancer” logo. Other Ts say “In Memory Of,” “Survivor” (in pale yellow) and “Touched by” (in gray) - all for $25.
Besides the Ts, you can make a donation buy purchasing a star necklace by Jennifer Meyer ($250 for silver; $3,250 for diamond pave) or a quartz “rock” crystal wire bangle (silver or gold) for $68, by Alex and Ani. The Stand Up store also has discounts on flowers, books, iTunes and more.
