We want our Tolani scarf and we want it now

We are having a tantrum. We are throwing a fit. We do not yet have a Tolani scarf, and we don’t know why, because it seems the entire jessicaalbahillarydufflindsaylohan crowd has them by the dozen.

Imagine the perfect accessory, a magical little item that complements anything from jeans to silk, updo or cascading locks, bare skin or jewels. That’s the Tolani scarf, handcrafted in native designs with a touch of modern thrown in. And it’s nuzzling the necks of Halle Berry (above left), Vanessa Minnillo (below left), and the aforementioned  Alba (above right) clique, not to mention a little leopard-skin number that Sienna Miller wore (below, right). She also wore it over her bathing suit..

You can’t find them just everywhere, which is another reason we’re a little out of sorts. But we’ve found a few pretty little online shops that carry the line. Take a stroll down the street to Boutique to YouPink Mascara, Blue Heaven Boutique, Unusual Threads or Singer22  to check out what’s in stock.

The scarves are sometimes muted, sometimes a riot of colors. They carry names like Waves, Mist, Floral, Pebble and Weeds, and come in different sizes that make them even more versatile. They aren’t cheap - they range in price from $80 to $105 - so a little restraint might be called for. On the other hand, if the Tolani is the quickest route to being in the pages of People, we’ll call it an investment and buy one of each.
