* Taser was far from the only company offering iffy music players: iriver had a model shaped like Mickey Mouse’s head, and Sony demonstrated the Rolly, which might be viewed as a high-style, more musically versatile version of that singing trout you got three Christmases ago.
* The $500 iShoes strap six wheels to your feet, sparing you the anguish of walking around town. Or you can stop moving altogether with the Dreamflyer, a chair/monitor rig for use with flight-simulator games. It’s a mere $2,800 plus tax, and another $425 for shipping.
* Among the anthropomorphic computer accessories at the fest, one of the more whimsical was a Belgian-designed webcam that looks more like a plush toy from an infant’s crib.
* Finally, a personal-audio idea whose time may not have come: the orbitsound T3, which allegedly creates “a personal stereo aura” in the air that only the user can hear — answering the non-burning question, “how do I listen to my MP3 player without headphones or a set of speakers that others will overhear?”
